If you are a new student, please feel free to try any of our heated, gentle, or intermediate classes. Only our silent classes require prior knowledge of the class flow.

Coming to your first class: When coming for your first visit, please ensure that you have a few minutes before the start of class to fill out the necessary paperwork. Also, we have a limited changing facility so please plan accordingly. Be sure to bring a yoga mat, a clean towel and wear clothing you will be comfortable in. For the heated classes, keep in mind that you will sweat a lot. Please don't eat a big meal for a few hours before class. Remember to drink plenty of water before and after class.

About the heat: We provide a moderate heat in our heated classes that helps improve your flexibility and prevents injuries. You will find that the heat will allow you to get more deeply into the poses for a more satisfying practice. The goal is to aid in your practice, not provide an endurance test. Ideally we heat the room to 85-90 degrees Fahrenheit with 40-50% humidity - each day is a little different.

Even if you are reasonably fit, you might find the heat to be a little bit of a challenge on your first few visits. This is normal. If this is the case for you, we encourage you to quietly sit out a pose or two until you feel comfortable again. After a few classes, you will find the heat much more easier to work with and you will come to appreciate the benefits.

What is a good class to start with? While everybody is different, a gentle class might be right for you if you want to start with a more gentle experience. If you want to start with the heat, but are unsure of enduring a full flow, come and try our heated intermediate class on Monday evening at 7:00PM. This 75 minute class provides the same flow as our regular heated class, but with a single set of standing poses rather than two - delivered at a slightly slower pace.

Get the first week for the price of your first class! Your first paid class entitles your to the following week free. Return as often as you wish during that first week, and your class is on us.
