Holiday Hours and New Classes for September

Dear Friends and Students,

We hope that everyone had an enjoyable summer and are looking forward to the upcoming Fall season. Fall is a good time to set a routine for your yoga practice. One season is winding to an end, another starting with the goals and determination of the school and academic year to boost all of our decisions and direction. In the lessening amount of daylight you can energize, maintain and build great health through detoxification and strengthening with regular yoga practice.

As we announced last month, September brings a few changes to our schedule:

In observance of the Labor Day holiday on September 1, we will only be offering the 8:30am and 10:30am classes. There will be no Monday afternoon or evening classes.

In consideration of our yogis who would like to practice a Gentle class in the evenings, we are adding a couple of evening Gentle classes. We are now offering a new Monday 6:00pm Gentle class and the Wednesday 6:00pm class will changing to a Gentle/Intermediate class. The Gentle/Intermediate flow is a non heated 75 min. flow - a great way to step up your practice from gentle toward the heated flow or to just change up your routine. We are also changing the early morning class on Tuesday from a Silent flow to a Heated Power Hour. The class will now run from 7:00am to 8:00am on Tuesday mornings. Power Hour is a great way to start your day without a big time commitment. This flow offers a scientific and well rounded selection of standing and floor postures in a dynamic one-hour heated class. It's guaranteed to get your day started in the best way - through yoga.

It's back to school time and our Kids class is resuming on Wednesday afternoons at 4pm.

Recommended age is for this class is from 5 yrs to 12 yrs old. Yoga helps children (and adults!) develop focus without stress and pressure, build confidence and the breathing (pranayama) practiced in class helps boost their immunity and strengthen the respiratory system for the season.

Please stop by the studio to pick up a new schedule or visit our website at encinitas-yoga.com. (Please note that the new Monday evening Gentle class will not be available on Labor Day.)

And remember to maintain regular practice - what the health science of yoga is based on - of at least 3 times a week for minimum maintenance and daily practice for optimum benefits.

Namaste,

The staff at Encinitas Yoga.
